Approaching
There is something very special about this place - almost magical. When I approach Egeløkke for the first time one afternoon in July it is like entering into another world. A world where time has stood still and as I approach I feel a kind of attraction towards the place - something I have never experienced anywhere else. I feel like I am at home and I think: Could I have lived here once in a previous life?
A narrow road leads up from the path I have been following and I walk slowly up towards this strange long house that I see from afar. I think it is possibly inhabited and I don't want to step into people's yard like a stupid tourist. Eventually I understand that no one lives there so I take a chance and go into the yard.
